Lariat

$42.00Price

Get ready for your next campaign and be sure to have the ability to graze your hourse without it running off. Lariats were issued to the cavalry and were used with their hand forged picket pin to picket their horses to graze. Our lariat was made based on the specifications in the 1862 Ordnance Manual for the Army and states that lariats were to be:
"made of 1.25" rope (circ), 30 ft. long, of 4 strands, an eye spliced in one end, the other end whipped with small twine. Weight, 2.38 lbs."

Our Lariats are the best available in the United States and meet the specifications listed in the 1862 manual above. Please note that the diameter, weight, and length may vary slightly due to being hand crafted.
